Wander down to the historic Whaling Station at Discovery Bay. It’s fascinating, albeit a little confronting, to learn about Albany’s maritime past. In the afternoon, we’re heading west along the coast. Our first stop is the iconic The Gap and Natural Bridge in the Torndirrup National Park. For a change of scenery, we’ll turn inland towards the Stirling Range National Park. While reaching Bluff Knoll might be a full-day hike, you can still appreciate the dramatic mountain ranges from scenic lookouts. The contrast between the coastal plains and these rugged inland peaks is striking.
